On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, one of the largest ÖBB rail vehicle maintenance plants will open its (workshop) doors on October 7 between 9:00 and 16:00. The highlight will be the ceremonial act at 11:00.
In addition to a comprehensive look behind the scenes of the maintenance of modern long-distance trains, visitors can ride in the driver's cab of a locomotive, visit the new generation Nightjet or control a driving simulator. We also offer spectacular shows by the ÖBB auxiliary train crew, a large model train show and an extensive children's program for the little ones. You can also see the maintenance of long-distance trains weighing tons and how many #JobsmitSinn there are at ÖBB.
